about us

thin space wellness

Thin spaces, according to Celtic tradition, are spaces where Heaven and earth merge.  Thin spaces are places on earth that allow people to feel God’s presence in a real and palpable way. It’s a porous space that blurs the boundaries of our own mortality with longevity and well-being.

Estes Park, Colorado became one of our "thin spaces" from our family's very first visit there!  So much so, that we eloped at the beautiful and historic Stanley Hotel, followed by sledding in the Rocky Mountain National Park after the wedding.   When we decided to formalize Thin Space Wellness from our combined 30 years in the health and wellness industry, we were in Estes Park....and the venture felt God-led and our path began to feel very clear. We have always had hearts for helping people, and are excited to share our experiences, expertise, and knowledge with both our in-person and virtual clients.

who is Kim Branum?

Kim Branum, RN-BSN

Kim received her BSN at UNC-Chapel Hill and spent the first 6 years of her nursing career in the Cardiac ICU with Carolinas Medical Center and Novant Health.

After caring for patients with critical illnesses, including close family members, Kim began a mission to promote wellness and longevity from a preventative approach.  Her journey led her to create and establish a virtual weight loss company in 2017, and eventually to co-create Thin Space Wellness, which focuses on a more holistic medically preventative option for patients.  As a 5k finisher in 2000, to a marathon addict-gone-Ironman finisher by 2012, Kim is passionate about fitness and exercise as part of her life and the lives of all those around her. Kim's 20+ year love for yoga led her to become a 200 hour certified yoga instructor to better serve her clients and their need for physical and mental wellness. Kim is a Nurse Injector and Weight Loss and Fitness Coach for Thin Space Wellness patients.

In addition to direct care of patients and wellness coaching, Kim is a writer for numerous magazines and websites, including Lake Norman Woman magazine, Estes Park Trail Gazette, and Mountain Island Living. She is the primary contributor for the Thin Space Wellness recipes and blog posts.
